THE PRACTICE OF EVERYDAY SAN JUAN (2005)
The research related to the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, which appropriates Michel de Certeau’s concept of the Practice of Everyday Life, was realized utilizing the banal and the everyday as armature to understand the Island’s metropolitan region. The purpose was to generate discourse based on the critical observation of the quotidian in order to generate an analytical model for this particular urban context. The structure of the investigation was based on three main research lenses: Imagined City, Consumer City and Suburban City.
